The Mississippi Mist is an interactive water feature located in Riverside Park on the Muscatine riverfront. Its center jet, themed like a steamboat smokestack, shoots water up to 30 feet in the air. Water streams from four mist jets, and four outer water cannons shoot water into the center at different intervals.
It's a good idea to wear or bring swimsuits because you're sure to get soaked. That's the idea.
The Mississippi Mist operates from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is lit at night. There is no lifeguard on duty and children must be accompanied by an adult.
